Poaching at its core is more often than not driven by socio economic challenges. Even from a young age people have difficulty in education, social inequalities and other challenges. Very often learners leave school as they simply do not have enough resources to buy food or basic necessities.

At Enviro Crime Solutions we believe that fighting the basic need for good nutritious food will enable more learners to stay in school. Knowledge is power. By assisting schools with growing successful vegetable gardens and supplying learners with nutritious food it will help learners stay in school and make a difference to their lives.

The impact of a simple act like providing a nutritious meal and helping students stay in school will have a lasting impact on every individuals that we get to help's life.

THE BASICS OF OUR FEEDING SCHEMES

Enviro Crime Solutions has partnered with leading irrigation companies and government departments to produce and install an easy to manage, low cost high yield irrigation system for vegetable gardens in schools.

The systems is easy to install and apart from some physical labor requires no financial input. The irrigation systems are designed to water a vegetable garden of 10m x 10m (100m2). After initial installation the school is provided with a seed pack filled with a variety of vegetable seeds chosen specifically to grow in the area to yield maximum nutritional value.

ADDITIONAL IMPACT

In addition to creating vegetable gardens to assist schools we also interact with learners and give presentations on the effects of poaching. As part of our program we educate children and young adults on poaching and how it affects their lives in the long run.

Similar to our efforts in the schools education program we have partnered with various feminine hygiene product suppliers to assist young ladies with supply and counselling on feminine hygiene and gynaecological health products.
