  • ENVIRO CRIME SOLUTIONS

Enviro Crime Solutions has recently joined the prestigious United for Wildlife Global Taskforce, marking a significant milestone in the fight against illegal wildlife trade (IWT). This achievement underscores Enviro Crime Solutions' commitment to conservation and highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling one of the world's most pressing environmental issues.

United for Wildlife - It's Goals & Aims

United for Wildlife was founded in 2013 by Prince William and The Royal Foundation. The initiative was born out of a deep concern for the devastating impact of illegal wildlife trade on endangered species and ecosystems. The illegal wildlife trade is estimated to be worth up to $20 billion annually and is linked to other serious crimes such as money laundering, corruption, and violence.

United for Wildlife focuses on disrupting the illegal wildlife trade through two main Taskforces: the Transport Taskforce and the Financial Taskforce. The Transport Taskforce brings together airlines, ports, shipping companies, and logistics firms to prevent illegal wildlife products from being trafficked across borders. The Financial Taskforce, on the other hand, involves banks and financial institutions committed to identifying and preventing money laundering associated with wildlife crime.

The organization also has Regional Chapters that address specific wildlife crime issues in different parts of the world, such as rhino poaching in Southern Africa and the use of pangolin scales in traditional Chinese medicine. United for Wildlife aims to foster global collaboration in the private sector to stop the trafficking of wildlife products and protect endangered species.

Being asked to join United for Wildlife is a significant achievement for Enviro Crime Solutions. Being a part of a global task force gives us the much needed assistance and capabilities to tackle much bigger investigations.

Because of the copperation between various international law enforcement agencies it enables us to make significant inroads in local organized crime on a level that was previously not possbile for local law enforcement on it's own.
